Westport Power Generating Station: 1906-2007

One of the most memorable days of my life for some reason. Me and my good friend Justin drove down to Baltimore on a whim to see this amazing power plant (which was actually 3 power plants in one). It was one of the most beautiful days I can remember and everything just went right. After climbing the stairs and catwalks that weave throughout the decaying structure we finally reached the top of the third building. This was the oldest building in the complex. The entire top floor of this building was an gigantic open space filled with coal cars on tracks and catwalks crossing the huge coal hoppers below. I have a whole photo essay on this building which I am currently scanning in but for now heres one of my favorite pictures.

I showed up at my studio this friday to find that jeff had taken all the lights out on location. At first I freaked out because I had a shoot in one hour and I had promised the model some studio shots.  Thankfully me and mike (www.mblea.com) figured it out and put together a set up with my one light elinchrom location kit and some speedlites and everything worked out ok.
Thanks to the wonderful and beautiful Ingrid M for modeling and the equally wonderful Katie Bouchard for her ridiculously awesome makeup skills.

puto and bulbs

messing around in the studio with garrett on his break from work today.
Thanks to Jeff for the bulbs and concept. Hopefully we can execute it better in the future given more time for set up. For the record that bulb was not photoshopped over his head. He actually threw it up and I caught it like that... I just added a little glow in post.

the first post!

This is the totally awesome/extremely exciting obligatory first post!
I will be posting weekly (sometimes daily) photos here until my actual site is completed and maybe even further into the future.

Here are some photos of Molly from yesterday.
